Health & Safety
We have a designated Health & Safety officer who is also our Fire Marshall and she oversees all of the risk assessment and safety issues in the setting. She works closely with the Managing Supervisor to ensure new equipment is used carefully and that all policies and procedures are current and relevant. (Link to list of policies page) We are diligent in ensuring parents are informed of infections and ways of avoiding them. We have robust procedures for administering medicines and if specialist knowledge is needed, for example using an Epi Pen, all staff undergo the training.
Child Protection
We have a designated Safeguarding Children officer who has undergone a thorough two day training course to learn about the signs of abuse and the procedures to follow. This information is shared with staff and reviewed termly at staff meetings.
